Tuya Local

I believe that Tuya is still a web app and uses the Tuya cloud. Is it possible to have a Home Assitant Server that purely services Tuya apps using the local.Tuya integration and then bring them into Homey using the Home Assitant Community App

Any one tried this and got any thoughts or feedback

I launched a basic instance of Home Assistant via Docker on a mini PC that manages some of my home network settings. I didn’t configure anything else on that instance except the app for handling Tuya devices locally. Then I used the Home Assistant Community app on Homey to integrate the HA instance with Homey.
After a month of testing (yes, I’m still testing since I’ve only recently started using Homey), nothing has ever crashed neither the app on Homey nor the Docker instance on the mini PC. I’ve never had to reboot anything. I’m not experiencing any latency issues, and the devices behave as if they were directly connected to Homey.
I’m not sure if I just got lucky, or if the specific devices I tested happen to work particularly well, while others might be more problematic.
That said, I wouldn’t recommend buying Tuya devices relying on this method especially if it’s for something important or expensive (as far as Tuya devices can be). But in my case, as I mentioned, this is just an experiment, and I already owned these Tuya devices for a few years, so I figured it was worth a try.

Only when you flash Tuya wifi devices with alternative firmware, you can control certain Tuya wifi devices locally.
But Tuya is fighting against that, by patching the firmwares.
Been there, done that: bricked 2 lights and flashed one relais, kept me busy all evening, no succes.

Moving towards zigbee.
