TT Lock G6 Matter Hub for Simpled Door Locks

Hi

Is anyone using the G6 Matter Hub from TT Lock, I’m desperate to get this working properly to support some Simpled Locks. I had to change from Yale due to door change but having some challenges and TT Lock not being too helpful.

Essentially the Hub they supply attaches to the locks and Homey Pro sees it as a Matter device (a lock not a hub) and you can lock and unlock as expected, however, for some bizarre reason TT Lock seem to have built an auto relock time of 1 minute into the hub. This is odd as the lock as the option to turn off auto lock which works from TT Lock App but any command coming via the Hub over Matter auto relocks. TT Lock say it is a Homey issue and the Auto Re-Lock time should be in the advanced settings for the device but it isn’t.

Using developer tools, I can see there is a parameter for this but cannot change it?

Anyone using this or any thoughts as I’m not getting anywhere with responses from TT Lock.

I tend to agree with TT Lock support in that it sounds like Homey doesn’t support it (it can read the status but not change it), although it’s a bit weird/unexpected that it resets back to a particular time after each command.

You could try adding the lock to another Matter hub if you have one, to see if it supports setting the auto relock feature (I assume setting it to 0 will disable it) and see if it sticks.

Otherwise you’ll have to ask Homey support for support of the feature.

I see they have an open API, maybe you can integrate it that way?

Thanks, I might try reaching out to Homey, what doesnt make any sense to me is why the Hub would even have an Auto-Relock function when the lock has this anyway. I see from Forums people on HA having same issue, turning off auto lock in the lock but then Hub overides it. I’m guessing your right a zero may turn it off. TT Lock suggested using Apple Home.

I’ve not looked yet but figure your are an expert on the Homey Script etc. Do you think that parameter that I found in the Developer Tools for the G6 Hub would be accesible via Homey Scipt? I’m guessing I only need to access it once to set it to zero and then everything should work as expected?

No, HomeyScript (and Homey apps in general) cannot implement or deal with Matter functionality that Homey itself doesn’t support.

Ah ok, was just a thought. I’ve have just fed back to TTLock Developers so I’ll see what they say as they are still saying it is not their hub but it is very clear it does contain some sort of setting/control and found users complaining about same issue with HA so not limited to Homey Pro!

Please TTlock apps for Homey. I have G6 Matter.

For me, Apple HomeKit incorrectly displays the lock status, even though the lock is locked, but Apple HomeKit bounces back after a while and shows a visually unlocked icon (but actually locked)

There is a nww firmware out now for TTLock G6 Hub, it has solved the auto relock problem, maybe worth trying to see if it helps with the Homekit issue too?

I can’t find any release notes so not sure what has been changed.

what version? I don’t see or show any new firmware. The error status is displayed on both Homey and Apple Home.
