Trying to connect Energy Dongle to my P1 port but when searching for WIFI the app replies Not possible to connect

I am new to this and have today struggled to get both mu Homey Pro 2013 and my energy dongle to connect to 2.4GHZ that i thought was the problem.

But now I managed to get the Homey Pro on 2.4 GHZ I still get error on my Energy dongle saying “Cannot connect to home….

Reconnect to homey Energy Dongle???

Click on connect and my app closes!

Why what anyone know?

I have a pulsing blue LED on the dongle so i do not think this is due to power.

Bought this today and can it be broken?

Or have anyone had this and found a solution?

First add external power anyway. This is often the fix during setup.
It"s very well possible the external power isn’t needed anylonger when setup is finished.

Of course a product can be broken, but first try to install it with an external power supply plugged in.

As long as devices use the same subnet, like 192.168.1.x, it doesn’t matter if they are connected with 2.4GHz / 5GHz wifi or ethernet.

It worked and now connected!

Needed extra power even if the LED was flashing blue and according to setup was ok and should not need added power!
