Timeout problems with GE Enbrighten dimmers

My network is about 50 z-wave devices with the Homey Pro in the physical center of the network.

GE Enbrighten dimmer problem
If any of those commands either end up in or pass through a GE Enbrighten dimmer (500 or 700 series) then I start seeing delays and timeouts.

Other devices are fine
Commands to Sonos, RM4 Pro or any GE Enbrighten switch respond quickly and I can slam the network with a bunch of requests with almost no delay.

Happens without a large network
Tried turning off every breaker in my house except for one with an outlet and one with a dimmer and the dimmer still started to have timeouts when I turned it on/off 4 times in a row (no nodes between it and the Homey Pro).

Help?
Is there a known issue with GE Enbrighten switches or any suggestions about what might be done to alleviate the problem?

Because it seems to be an issue with only a specific device type, and not z-wave in general, the developer is probably needed to take a look at this;
