Tapo Camera C260 cannot be installed

Hello everyone,

I am trying to integrate a TP-Link Tapo C260 camera into Homey Pro Mini using the official Tapo app.

Current situation:

  • I can successfully log into my Tapo account from Homey.

  • The camera works correctly in the Tapo app.

  • ONVIF is enabled on the camera.

  • RTSP/ONVIF stream works perfectly in VLC from my PC.

  • Camera and Homey are on the same local network.

However, when I try to add the camera in Homey through the Tapo app, Homey does not detect/find the camera at all.

I already tried:

  • rebooting Homey

  • rebooting the camera

  • removing and re-adding the Tapo account

  • verifying ONVIF and RTSP functionality

Is the Tapo C260 officially supported by the Homey Tapo app?
Has anyone managed to get this specific model working correctly?

I am also wondering if the issue could be related to:

  • unsupported/new model

  • API compatibility

  • cloud discovery limitations

  • local network discovery issues

Any help or confirmation would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Are the camera and Homey on the same network? This is required for the cameras

As I said in my current situation:

Camera and Homey are on the same local network.

You should report your issue in the app topic:

Instead of using the Tapo App use the ONVIF camera App. It works great with Tapo cameras.
