this! how do i set up my HP19 as a doorbell speaker? I have migrated everything to the new homey pro 2023 because the zigbee radio died on my homey pro 2019. Im trying to get a door sensor connected to HP23 to start a flow (play doorbell noise) on my HP19
One method that I use, via the MQTT and that’s because I have other clients sending stuff that I want Homey to listen at.
I have the MQTT broker installed on my NAS but it can be installed on one of the Homeys, in such case I would have it on the 2019 if you only plan to use that Homey for light tasks such as a speaker.
Then both my Homeys 2019/2023 have the MQTT Client app HERE.
Logic is simple or you can make it as complex as you want, such as add time where you don’t want to be disturbed, send you push notification on your mobile, etc.
I use the Soundboard app and uploaded a simple door bell .wav file, and after all Homey speaks something “Ding, dong, someone’s at the door”
There are other methods, too.

A pretty straightforward way would be to use the Homesh controller/satellite apps, which were sort of designed to use this kind of functionality.
