hello everyone. i am currently working on processing sonos in the dashboard but i can’t get it to work. i have multiple speakers in the house in which i often have the 2 pieces in the kitchen connected to each other. usually the radio plays here (see photo) but if i add this speaker as a widget it doesn’t show the radio here. but a song from spotify that is currently not active. in short is there a way i can get a good insight into what is playing (where). it would also be nice if i have insight into the connected speakers (groups)… I have already restarted everything…is that even possible? thanks in advance for your responses
Anybody?
Do you, by any chance, power down your Sonos devices after use? So unplug them or use a smart plug to disconnect power?
I have a similar issue in which the status and now playing info is not updated/in sync with what is actually going on.
Since I power down my Sonos devices after use, I created a flow that restarts the Sonos app on my Honey after the Sonos devices have been powered on and booted up (20-25 secs after powering on).
This has solved my out-of-sync issue in most cases.
Note that Homey’s Sonos app connects to your Sonos devices via the Sonos cloud; not locally directly via the local API.
You can also try to re-login into your Sonos account via Settings in the Sonos app on your Homey (or try to repair a Sonos device via its device tile, which also triggers a re-login). Perhaps your credentials have expired and the Sonos app on your Homey is no longer connected to the Sonos cloud.
I face similar issues but then with battery%. I also figured out that when you restart the app the issues is resolved. However, I have not been able to figure out a restart of the official sonos app via a flow or whatsoever, can you explain how you created the flow that restarts the Sonos app?
Some background on why I need this: I want to leave my Sonos Roam on while it is always connected to a power source. I have already created two flows that start charging and stop automatically based on the Roam’s battery percentage. However, because the battery percentage is not constantly synced by the app, these flows do not work…
You can use this flowcard:
Note that you need to enable the ‘Power User’-functions first. You’ll find a toggle to enable those in Settings in the Experiments section.
