I go for a Homey Display. First combo LG & Athom exposure with a (re)branded LG tablet supporting a loaded Homey OS image that has the Homey app/Dashboard on/it.
If you increase the exposure from the thumbnail you might see a bit more of its shape… ![]()
Looks like a speaker,… will speech return?
AI voice?
I think it could be a mmWave sensor (very small) but with big impact/functionality.
Adressing critical bugs such as HP2019 and HP2023 randomly going offline for many? Maybe fixing the long withstanding issue of slow polling from the Hue Bridge instead of realtime push in the Hue app with bridge? Adressing issues/communications with various APIs seemingly growing in number? OTA firmware updates of devices? All are big, yet small things that would make the experience with Homey much better.
Just bought a Shelly Wall Display
please no
Honestly dont care, already getting crazy on Homey Energy launch and the backfire on Homewizard. ![]()
Any thoughts on the “Small but Mighty” announcement by Homey on YouTube?
Premiere: December 18 at 7pm CET.
I was wondering about the same. I’m kinda hoping it’s not a new hub, as I just bought Homey Pro 2023 a couple of weeks ago… ![]()
Seeing the teaser image it looks like another hardware introduction, so I’m hoping for a mmWave presence sensor.
I do own an Aqara one, and the community developer did an amazing job getting it into HomeKit, a more native integration for such a device would be amazing!
An “tabel” variable.
kWhprice(hour, 1quarter, 2quarter, 3quarter, 4quarter)
@Doekse I think this is a smart speaker so we can use ChatGPT with Homey to control our house and to stream sounds/TTS. Many people miss the speaker from the old Homey, and someone from the Athom team has already demonstrated a well-functioning OpenAI demo with Homey before.
Also the previous teaser had a green glow, and this one has a blue one.
That does match the energy tile and the activity tile
I hope this is the truth… then I can also get rid of the Google services…
Let it be true… also, I can imagine it would be a display since they introduced the p1, same as homewizard and their display.
me too… ![]()
Sticking with Homewizard. Cheaper as well ![]()
I think that you are right. A Presence Sensor with Matter integration.
Same for Perplexity AI, which indexes this forum as well ![]()
On December 18th, Homey is expected to announce “something big, yet small” for their smart home ecosystem. While the exact details are not confirmed, there are several speculations based on the teaser:
- A miniature hub: Possibly a smaller version of the Homey Pro, designed for simpler setups or secondary locations 1.
- A new Homey Bridge: Potentially with Matter and Thread support 1.
- An infrared bridge: Similar to a Homey Broadlink device 1.
- A satellite device: To extend smart home coverage for various protocols like Zigbee and Z-Wave 1.
- Native device grouping feature: Allowing users to group multiple devices together 1.
- Swipe functionality for dashboards in the mobile app: Enabling users to swipe through different dashboards on their phones 1.
- A solution for long-standing issues with Aqara devices and IKEA routers 1.
The announcement is likely to be hardware-related, possibly combined with new software features. Given LG’s recent acquisition of Athom (Homey’s parent company), the new product might leverage both companies’ expertise 7.
