I have a lot of Frient/Develco fire and heat alarms. Probably 8 or 9 at my home. No false alarms, except when I have caused it myself in my workshop where the dust in the air caused several false alarms until I changed to a heat alarm.

Smoke detector that can withstand -20 Celsius and dust? (Garage)
Homey pro.
Is it possible to set the Frient smoke detector in a silence mode. I mean no sound in case of smoke but only a message to Homey?
Beside it not being allowed by any instance in the world, if the fire starts near Homey, your wifi/networking, or anything that can cause the power to turn off (so Homey isn’t working anymore), you’ed rather risk hurting/burning your family and yourself?
Let’s explain it. In my house I have more than enough smoke detectors.
Behind my house I have situated my BBQ and woodstove. When there is too much smoke I want to switch of the heat return exchanger automatically by a flow.
Then you are probably better off opening up a smoke detector and desolder the sounder, then being able to find a wireless smoke detector that can disable its alarm sound (there are probably some cheap Chinese ones somewhere, but don’t account for them to have any valid certificates, nor work with Homey unless you write an app for it).
