Hello,
Recently I’ve watched one of the LTT videos about Homey and decided to go with Bridge as my previous bridge just failed to connect with any of the sensor I have.
I have TS0205 smoke detector which I was able to add into Homey using Zigbee no problem.
I had to change the Icon and name but no big issue here.
I vaped into the smoke detector and started beeping so it did detect the smoke but no notification on my phone.
Do I have to set it up somehow for it to tell me its going off?
Also can I get notification if a sensor goes offline as its not showing me battery level on it.
No.
Unsupported zigbee devices can’t send data to Homey, including battery levels
Tuya zigbee sensors devices aren’t supported @ Homey cloud.
Apparently it got connected as generic Homey zigbee device.
This service only supports for lights, switches and plugs.
So, Homey ‘sees’ your smoke sensors, but hasn’t a clue what to do with it.
Just to double check something have you programmed to get an alarm on your phone?
I’ve programmed it this way If smoke is detected by one of my 3 detectors
–it then writes the location of that detector to a variable
– send then push notification to my /wifey phone
– send voice info through google home speakers
– activate all lights in my house
Unfortunately I need to get better sensor as I have Tuya one’s and Homey won’t work with them.
Any suggestions to not extremely expensive ones? I need at least 3. The one You have seems good as one of my smoke detectors can detect heat and its in kitchen where stove is located.
Hmm I have temp sensors from Tuya too. I wonder if they would work with Homey, they are Wifi based tho. Same thing with my heating and alarm. Both for Wifi.
