Ring image grabber problem

btw, i would have expected there being a ring image , but for me there isn’t.

22 screenshots with 45 notifications last 2 days ?

So, that’s not correct. The 45 notifications is the number off push messages received?

yep

And homey also not always gives a notification while ring detects motion

Works great!

Is the images size scalable? When casting the image to nest hub, its only half of the screen? Same for the notification, can ios somehow display the notification in full size?

Will Homey clean up all the images in https://developer.athom.com/tools/images. I dont see any way to delete the grabed images over time.

Did anybody find a solution to this? I’m also getting images that are not up to date…

I’m curious too… I have the same problem. I’ve read that you need to have a subscription on Ring but I have one so that’s not the issue.

Strange. I also have a subscription, a wired doorbell, have tried delay, etc. without any luck

Here the same problem. It simply does not work. I never have someone in the image.
It worked one day.

My mileage is different. Always the image is spot on. In fact too fast as I can always see in focus people finger pushing the button and less focus on their face.

Possible to share more information about device type and used settings in Ring and Homey?

I can’t get it to work with the Ring V2. All I get are “empty” images. I tried delays from one to five seconds, nothing works.

Also V2 here and not working, maybe it only works with Pro for some mysterious reason? Are there people who have this working flawless with a V2?

How does this image grabbing work anyway; ie where is the image stored and for how long? Is it deleted automatically?

If you use pushover to send the image it’s stored over there

I want to have as little extra apps as possible so right now I am using just the ring app. Does that make any difference?

Maybe Pushover is the way to fix it and make it work? Of course it would be better to not have another app and use the built in functionality of Homey but I’m going to try it later

With or without Pushover I get the image as it supposed to come, without delay.
Perhaps the Ring Pro is faster than your v2.

Perhaps. I’m also using V2
