Ring Doorbell, Camera and Alarm support for Homey

Ok, so it’s the surveillance mode that’s not refelcted.

Do you see other capabilites react, what happens when you remove the mains power, does that change the Mains Power capability?

How many locations have you setup in your Ring account?

I have 2 locations setup, but is it normal that status changes wont be visible in the timeline of the basestation?

The Timeline is only capable to show boolean (on/off) capabilities.

Hi! I’m on the experimental 12.14.15 and the update a few hours ago seems to have broken the connection to Ring, even after restarting the app a few times. Both devices are unresponsive.

Thanks for reporting, found the problem and pushed 12.14.16 as the new testversion which fixes the problem 12.14.15 introduced.

Up until today I’ve been on the 2.14.13 version, and now after I got the app updated pushed from Homey to 14.14, I lost my motion screenshot from my doorbell. Its so annoying, and no matter which of the versions available, I won’t push the screenshot anymore. Is it possible to have the 2.14.13 available, until you guys fix this issue.?

When you open the doorbell, does it show a snapshot?

Yes, everything works as it normally does with the ring doorbell. When I open it, it shows both livestream and snapshot, no change there. The only thing that has stopped working, is the snapshot being sent and shown on my android tv box via pipup app. And when you earlier realised the 14.14 test version, I updated then also, and I could not figure out why I didn’t receive the snapshot anymore. But the solution where in here, cause a member posted the exact same issue as my, and the solution then ,was also going back to 14.13, and the second I reinstalled it, bum, the snapshot got sent through pipup and has worked flawlessly ever since. Until yesterday, when the 14.14 was implemented. Can you please post a link here to that version, so I have the functionality, cause I need it. And when you figure out what needs to be done with the new update, I can install that.

I love your app, make no mistake. However, i really need this function to work.

You’re lucky that flow worked, cause the way it’s build can cause timing issues, and also, it seems a tag is missing.
What you should do is create a sequence of flows so everything will happen in the correct order and timing.

The first flow has to trigger on movement (or a ring event) to grab the snapshot

And the second flow has to trigger on creation of the snapshot

(Make sure to select the cards from the correct devices if you have multiple!)

Hi, For some reason I have issue’s with motion sensor card in advance flow with a ring doorbell pro.

I was on normal and updated to beta version but still the same issue. In the doorbell event log I see motion triggers. But for some reason the card is not triggeren in homey (when there is motion detected).

I tried the motion allert issue (delete devices in ring and reauthenticate). I restarted the app.

I don’t want to remove the doorbell because then I need to remake all automations again.

Is this a bug in the newer versions?

Hi Lionel,

You may have run into a bug indeed, but I think there’s an easy workaround to get it working again.

Could you please open the Camera’s settings and navigate to the Advanced Settings. Next turn Use Motion Alerts of and save the setting.
After that, turn the Use Motion Alerts setting on again and save.

Please make a little dance in front of the camera and check if your flow runs and please report back!

Edit: I just published a new test version that will force the Motion Alerts to On when the settings isn’t properly set (2.14.18)

To fix notifications you instruct us to Stop the App. Do you do this by toggling the Enable switch?

Yes, that’s right.

OK, I followed the fix notifications process, but I’m still not getting these to Homey. Any further suggestions on which process to try next.

Danee, can you please help me get my connection to Ring notifications working again.

I am currently on v2.14.14 and I cannot find a link to the beta version v2.14.18 so I can see if that fixes things. I have searched the Homey support articles but these don’t seem to reference them either.
