Homey Pro (Early 2023): 12.7.0
Ring Integration: 2.14.1
I haven’t tried the Anthom one as I wanted the Alarm devices (even if things like the water/freeze detectors and glass break detectors aren’t supported yet).

Ok, that’s the correct versions and it should work.
What type of Ring Alarm do you have? (I’ve seen there’s a pro version available, but not for the region I’m in.)
Do you use multiple locations in your Ring account?
Could you please stop the Ring app, enable it again, wait a bit and then send me a Diagnostics Report?
Hello there!
I am absolutely stunned by how awesome this app is. Thank you very much! Of course I already tipped your great work.
Unfortunately the trigger that someone is ringing at the door is not working for me. Are there any settings that must be applied in the ring app on my mobile or such itself?
EDIT: I got the trigger to work following your HowTo - thank you again!
But I can’t use it to recreate my own “Ring to Open” - inspired by Nukis Opener.
I am trying to use the doorbell ring as a trigger for unlocking via intercom, but I won’t get it to work. I can open it in a flow using a button or trigger something manually, but not with the doorbell ring trigger. Is this a security thing, set up in homey itself?
EDIT 2: After hours of testing the most complex things I could imagine (like setting up a vice versa webhook from another server with token authentification, such wow, much nonsense) here is what made it impossible: time. The bus system, that is utilized by the intercom is busy, with getting the signal and sending the doorbell through the house and stuff - and therefore it can’t use incoming API-calls from the intercom (even though the intercom thinks it has send the command, which is clearly stated in the protocol). When I set a delay to five seconds, everything works perfectly. At this time I am trying to reduce this delay as much as possible by slowly testing it in steps of hundred milliseconds. By the time I am writing this, I am down to 1300 and it works.
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Hi Lukas,
Thanks for your donation, much appreciated!
Good to read you got it working! In regards to your flow, could you post a screenshot of it here?
Hey Danee,
you are awesome, thanks.
Unfortunately my second edit was not as fast as you - but I figured it out.
I don’t want to share my flow, because in the meantime it got very complex and is part of more than flow and also utilizes a personal token - but as my second edit says: the bus system of the intercom build in the house I am living in is the problem here - not the intercom of ring as it seems.
But I am very grateful for your engagement! And as we are talking: would it be possible to get the status indicator to be changeable? Maybe so the user can choose between lock state and battery state or some?
I know, I am repeating the words but: thank you!
New test version published
Test version: 2.14.4
Improvements for Live video for Cameras and Doorbells
Added multiple location support
You’ll find test version of this app here: Ring | Homey
Some minor improvement to the Live video for Cameras and Doorbells.
This version is also the first one that adds support for multiple locations in your Ring account.
Would it be possible to use a Homey API to access the Ring WebRTC video stream in an app other than Homey? If so, how do I call this API? (I’m not a developer, but I do have some API knowledge.)
There’s no code in the app to provide this, I don’t even know if would possible to expose an apps api publicly, you’ll have to ask Athom.
New version published
Version: 2.14.5
- Added Live view to cameras and doorbells*
- Added multiple location support
This version requires at lease firmware 12.7.1 and brings Live Video to your Ring Cameras and Doorbells. When you open the device click on the camera icon, it will automatically open in Live view. If you want to capture a snapshot, use the dropdown above the video and select Snapshot.
And from this version on multiple locations on your Ring account is also supported. So, if you have multiple locations with Cameras, Doorbells, Alarm systems or any other of the app’s supported devices you can now use them all!
* This is available from Homey Pro 2023 and requires the device to be connected to mains power.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to the problems Amazon is facing with AWS you may experience problems with your Ring devices, nothing can be done other than sit it out.

Hi @DaneedeKruyff don’t know if it’s related to the current problems with Amazon, but I can’t change the Ring modus (home/away) via flow anymore. Do you know anything about it?
I reconnect the app, but still the same problem. When I run a test, error_code unknown ![]()
@DaneedeKruyff do you know there is still some trouble with ring?
My flow isn’t working anymore and also no message on my ring app self One time yes the other time not
No I don’t. But if it’s also not working in the Ring app itself it’s a good indication Ring (Amazon) is still having problems.
Hi,
I get an error: “Live video not supported on battery operated cameras” but the camera is wired, not on battery power…
regards,
Tim
Live video works really good. But it seems to time out after a while. How long does it keep showing live. video for? I’m displaying it in the Homey dashboard.
It would be helpful if you let me know what cameratype we’re talking about here, I have some Ring Cameras but not all different type so it’s impossible for me to test all variants so this can occur.
Also, please check the Power Management settings in the device. While it may be powered by mains, if the Power Mode is configured as Battery Mode it wil report that to Homey.
I’m not sure, that’s Ring doing that, and it may even be related to the plan you have from them.
My Problem is solved. Seems that was the general issues with Amazon.
Thx for the great app.
Strange thing happend, my flow isnt working anymore.
Was working without problems!
