Currently the closest option to what you want, is to add a shortcut to the dashboard(s) you want to maintain centrally. My homescreen contains items I personally like on my device’s homescreen as well as links to shared dashboards:
Hmm yeah that is a less clean option for now. Thanks anyway!
oh, that is usefull information ![]()
thank you!
I really hope this gets implemented soon. Getting real tired of having to change the home screen to be exactly the same on 3 different devices every time I make a change. My GF also recently got a new phone where I had to set everything up again. My phone is also about ready to be changed, really looking forward to that complete waste of time… instead of just being able to set my dashboard as my home screen. Ain’t nobody who’s gonna convince me that this was a good decision!
Actually when my GF got a new phone I just made a dashboard with the same setup and filled her home screen with just that button. The problem with this is that she first has to load in the Homey app with the home screen, then tap the dashboard and load in that before she can do whatever she wanted to do. Not only is that way more time consuming, it also requires additional clicks.
Just please, fix this! Please!
Not sure why it’s designed like it is.
How about Athom adding the possibility to copy one of the Dashboard screens to the home screen. This way you can create a sort of default “fav” home screen in the dashboard section.
It would definitely be better than what we got now. Though the problem with it being custom is that when I do changes I’d still have to replace all the home screeens on our devices and they’d lose all the custom stuff.
Now if we could add a dashboard kinda like a widget where it would get updated dynamically, while you could add your own widgets around it, then you’d have both a dynamic dashboard on your home screen with a custom touch to it. But that would probably be asking too much. I reckon that would be way harder to implement than just allowing people to assign dashboards as home screens.
