Replace old doorbell with modern video doorbell and keep chime

I want to replace my old doorbell with a new smart one with video but at the same time I would like to keep the current chime. I would think there is some kind of smart device that you could use to have this work.

From what I understand the push button of a doorbell interrupts the circuit to the chime. The moment you push it the circuit is no longer interrupted and the chime rings. So if I could find a zigbee compatible inerruptor and use it in this circuit, create a flow triggered by the new doorbell and make it switch on/off for say 2 seconds this would work I would think.

Are devices like the SONOFF ZBMINIL2 good for these kind of activities?

Thanks

With the Netatmo doorbell it is possible to keep the chime and you can use the cabeling and power supply of your current doorbell. But check the specs

You don’t need it, like that.
There are video doorbells that let you use your old chime anyway, like the ones from Netatmo or Eufy i.e.
Make sure to go through the specs before ordering.
