Replace broken Homey bridge with premium

Hi,

My old homey bridge has broken & now I’m trying to replace it with a new one!

  1. I’ve removed the broken one in the homey app
  2. When I add the new one I get the following!
    There was a problem adding the Bridge to your home. another Homey Bridge already connected?

I don’t see the old one in devices anymore? Please someone who knows what to do?

What might help (and does no harm): restart your Homey Cloud instance.

Also check the Devices entry; possibly the bridge is still listed; if true, it should be possible to delete it (see the little bin icon on the right).

Thanks Peter_Kawa but it didn’t work couldn’t see the old H-bridge under devices. I have to create a new account & rebuild everything :frowning: thanks for the good suggestions.

I also thought my Homey Bridge device broke approx 36 hours ago, got a Redis error in the app, even bought a new bridge since replacing power adapter to the old one didn’t help either, but got the same Redis error with the new one when trying to add it instead of my then removed old bridge so then realized it might not be a hardware error after all.

So now I followed that link to Homey Developer Tools , restarted my Homey Cloud instance and voila! I could once again add my old bridge and everything works again. Big thanks!

Relieved that it works again and at the same time annoyed that a Restart button outside of the app solved it all.

Did Athom support adviced you to do this? There must be a non-destructive fix (at least, I would presume).
