Remove zone restriction for creating groups

Hello,

I don’t understand why there is a zone restriction for creating groups. It just remove useful flexibility no ?

Basic use case :

I have several connected shutters. They are not in the same zone, but when I leave the house, or I go to bed, I would like to be able to close them all in one click.

Just a simple example, but there are probably many more that would make useful to create groups of items that are not in the same place.

Best regards,

Just use the < group > app I’d like to suggest.

The onboard group function is basically designed to control 3 table lights as one light.
Emile (one of the founders) even said this in a Homey podcast: “for more advanced usage, head over to the < group > app”.

Yeah that is something I had some trouble with as well when trying to group the lights from the livingroom and the dinner room.

I was not aware of the < group > app (blame my laziness to google) and I created an Homey script that grouped the devices I needed and created some logics for turning them on and off and put that script in a flow.

So yes, I also don’t really understand why this is restricted, but there are ways to work around this problem
