Remote connection on PC

I am a new user here, I have just installed Homey Self Hosted Server (SHS) following the official instructions with VMWare on my Windows 11 mini PC. I have got that all set up and the virtual machine is running and I could find it on my Homey app on the phone. So far, so good  . I can now start adding my devices on my phone but I would much prefer to do all my admin / configuration on my separate PC and screen that’s on the same network if I can so I tried to connect to the SHS VM via its IP address and port (4859). I get the SHS login screen appear so I have connected to the VM ok but when I enter the same login details I used when setting up the App, I am getting an error “invalid credentials”. Any idea what I might be doing wrong or is it not possible to use my PC remo

tely to do this?

You need to use https://my.homey.app/ for remote (outside of LAN) access.

And if you want to use the direct IP webpage, you need to create a local user in the webapp first:

Did you create a local user before trying to log in? You can do this in the Family & Guests section

Thank you for your message and suggestion. That is exactly what I needed to do and I can now complete adding my devices etc on my PC. I suspect some long evenings might be ahead of me

I am still on my local network (192.168.xxx.xxx) with both the SHS and my PC. smarthomesven has also replied and suggested I needed to configure the webapp. This is what I was missing and I can now use my PC.
