Recovery mode stuck in loop (pro 2019)

So I was trying to factory reset and firmware update my white ball. Now it is stuck in an endless loop…

I got the recovery mode working, started up again, connected, then asked it to factory reset, at whic point it also wanted to do a firmware upgrade. Afterwards, when starting, it is just stuck in a loop. Approx 20 seconds rotating orange, then 20 seconds glowing orange, then repeat. Tried leaving it on for an hour, no difference. Tried leaving it off for a few hours before trying again, no difference. No difference when starting upside down. Most of the time, if turning the ball upside down, it makes no difference, but if turning it upside down just as the orange rotating cycle starts it will glow red for a short while, then proceed to rotating purple (indicating it thinks is was started while upside down, which correlates with it being stuck in a startup loop).

So how do I factory reset the white ball if it refuses to start? (It never enables the local wifi.)

Did you replace the power unit and the cable already?

Yup, it has solid power. Also confirmed by me being able to get it through the first recovery round. (It did not manage the first recovery until I replaced the power.)

50W power. Replaced USB-cable (although I have no rating for the new cable).

Nobody? Have tried leaving it on and off for 24+ hours, nothing improved.
Can Homey support assist here?
Is there any way to disassemble and reset from the inside?
Is it permanently bricked?

You’d best contact support https://homey.app/support/
