I was very happy with my homey for years, i bought it I think around 2022. Always worked wonders.
But now, it has just stopped. So, I did this in chronical order:
1. Homey did stop. Wtf? Let’s do a reset or re-connect?
2. Go to Homey App. Hmm… It did show a homey, but it said it couldnt connect. Weird.
3. Deleted the Homey out of the app, to later re-connect.
=>Then, later, I realised that Homey hadn’t been giving any light the whole time. It should right?<=
4. Tried another adapter. Ah! Homey gives light. But, it keeps circling orange (Or is it Red?)
5. Trying to connect Homey through the Homey App and https://tools.developer.homey.app/. Sadly, nothing works. Homey doesn’t show up in the Wifi options. Keeps circling orange. Even though walking through all the soft & hard reset steps like turning it upside down for 10 seconds. Which doesn’t have any effect.
What should I do?
Is there a ‘hard/manual’ way to get it in reset?
Ps. I noticed in other topics that people also couldn’t reset. But their Homey turned blue. I am not even getting there, sadly.
You shouldn’t have done that.
That makes Homey an orphan without an owner.
Reset Homey will remove all configuration but you can try to only setup Wifi again with your account to see if it appears again in your account under Homey’s
I don’t understand what youbmeen wiith soft or hard reset.
After getting Homey in recovery you should use Add A Homey in the Mobile app to configure Homey’s Wifi.
I have the exact same thing happening to me. The 2019 Homey Pro suddenly stopped working. Nothing helped, so I got myself a new one and deleted the non-functioning 2019 Homey Pro from my devices. Later I realised the plug is broken Tried to restart it, but I only get the orange ring running around in circles. turning it upside down does not initiate a countdown. Just the orange ring running.
I hope he doesn’t find life as an orphan as a new chapter in his life, as I’d really like to re-adopt him
