5 years later, Athom hasn’t fixed the Qubino modules not reporting their status when actionned via the wall switch

There is a firmware update for this device but the Homey “official” app doesn’t allow it. I don’t know who other than Athom is responsible
Homey can’t offer OTA updating at all, nothing any app can provide for.
You’d best send a OTA feature request to homey.app/support.
But,
you probably can upgrade your devices with an Aeotec z-wave stick (just connect to PC/Laptop) without removing the device from Homey. Just search this forum for details / howto’s.
Qubino is now part of Shelly btw.
According to Homey Podcast #3 from October 10, 2024, @Emile said that it’s technically possible to perform firmware updates for Z-Wave and Zigbee with the Homey Pro (early 2023), but this feature would have to be integrated by the app developers into their apps. Please take a look at this excerpt:
However, I have already been informed by two app developers that Athom doesn’t provide any information on how this feature should be implemented in the Homey apps.
As @Peter_Kawa has already mentioned, it’s possible to update the firmware of Z-Wave devices using a workaround without having to remove the devices first. Here are the instructions for doing so:
However, I would still recommend contacting the app developer Qubino and also Athom.
By the way, “Official” doesn’t necessarily mean that the app is from Athom or the device manufacturer itself.
Among other things, “Official” means that this app also works with a Homey Bridge and, for cloud services, even with the Homey Cloud.
Furthermore, unlike community apps, these apps are better checked by Athom. Whatever that means.
