Problems connecting Avatto Zigbee dimmer

Recently I bought an Avatte 2ch Zigbee device at bol.com (link: Avatto Zigbee Dimmer module - Universeel - Vloeiend dimmen - Kleinste in de markt -... | bol).

According to the site, it is Tuya compatible, Homey is even mentioned as a compatible gateway. However, when I want to connect it to Homey, I receive the message that it is an ‘Unknown zigbee device’. After that I cannot do anything with it.
Anyone has any idea?

Are you using the test version of the Tuya app?

I do have the app installed on the Homey but using an older version. I will update the app to the latest version 0.2.73 and try again.

Unfortunately that did not fix it. Still getting the same message that the device is not supported (see below screenshot). I tried several versions (1 gang/2gang, with / without metering), all with the same results. Does anyone have an idea?

It means Homey doesn’t support the device.

Apparantly it does not. But since the bol.com website mentiones that homey is supported, I am wondering if anyone else still was able to get the device working.

The Bol shop did not check facts, and made an assumption imho: “Homey has a Tuya Zigbee app, so this device works with Homey”.
It might work when you add a Tuya zigbee bridge, and use the Tuya Cloud community app.
It’s a bit silly though, because it’s a zigbee-over-internet solution

Reality: it works directly with Homey when it’s supported by the Tuya Zigbee app. Even then it’s a 50% chance it isn’t working, while Tuya is very inconsequent.

To end positively: you can request for support, instructions are at the 1st post of the dedicated Tuya Zigbee topic.

Thanks @Peter_Kawa and @robertklep for your answers.
I have requested for support but I am realistic on whether this will get any response. Let see.
Thanks for your help.

How come you don’t think it won’t get a response? It can take a while though.
And who/where did you request for support?
