Problem with Aqara Smart Plug (Zigbee) and Ikea Styrbar switch (Zigbee)

Hello everyone.

I’ve reset the Zigbee network for all the devices on my computer. I’ve reconfigured all the devices.

Now, when I press the dimmer button on the Ikea Styrbar, the Aqara plug turns off.

When I press the dimmer button, the Aqara plug turns on.

I’ve checked all the flows to see if something strange is happening, but nothing is happening.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

Yes, this is zigbee group behaviour. They automatically find eachother and respond to their commands, “for your convenience”…

Nice idea, but,
These Zigbee device manufacturers did not think of the fact anyone would mix their brand with other brands.
And zigbee controllers like Homey lack the option to “ungroup” these grouped zigbee devices.

Only when using zigbee controllers like zigbee2mqtt you can alter the group behaviour and assign different groups f.i.

When you want to stick to Homey as zigbee controller, your two options are

  • keep them out of range of eachother

When that’s not doable:

  • replace either the Aqara or the Ikea devices by similar models of an other brand
