Problem to connect Homey Bridge to Aeotec

I have problem to connect my Homey Bridge to Aeotec heavy duty switch. The message is that I have to upgrade to version 12.9.0…but isn’t that the Pro version…and is it possible to upgrade Bridge to 12.9.0?

Yes, 12.9.0 is the pro version.

It in the list for available app/products. And I know several that have connect Aeotec heavy duty switch to Bridge

Have you checked if your smartphone homey app (v9.6.5) and the Aeotec-Homey app (3.17.5) are on the latest version?

It looks like they didn’t update the Homey version number in Homey Cloud yet. You should report that to Athom

I just checked with a Homey Cloud instance and it’s the same error:

So the Homey Cloud is still on 12.7.2, while some apps have compatibility set to >=12.9.0. Athom needs to increase the version number of the Homey Cloud (which likely means that they would also have to upgrade the Homey Cloud to Node 22).

It seems some developers missed the newsletter about the Node.js v22 rollout. Aeotec has already raised their minimum requirements, even though Homey Cloud isn’t running the new version yet. It will soon however!

I reached out to them today, and they’ve confirmed they’ll fix it—especially since their code doesn’t rely on any Node.js v22-specific dependencies :downcast_face_with_sweat:
