Had the same issue and finally figured it out!
Here’s what you need to do:
- Go to https://webadmin.doorbird.com/ and log in as your Doorbird admin
- Navigate to Users
- Select the user account you used to log in to Doorbird when you added the device to Homey
- Under Permissions, enable API Operator and save
- Go back to Homey and select your Doorbird device
- Open Device Settings, and under Maintenance, click “Set URLs for notifications”
It should now work just fine.
Also, if you grant API access before adding the device, I think that will solve the 403 error during the initial setup.
