I bought a Homey Bridge a couple of days ago after my previous vendor went bankrupt.
I managed to get everything up and running, connecting a couple of Heatit thermostats and a Heatit relay (for hot water). However, the next morning I noticed that the bridge had been disconnecting and reconnecting continuously throughout the night—and this continued into the following day.
After browsing the forum, I realized this isn’t exactly a new issue… sigh.
Digging a bit deeper, I decided to tweak the Wi-Fi settings. Using my Ubiquiti network, I made the following changes:
- Created a separate network called IoT
- Configured it to support 2.4 GHz only
- Ensured the bridge was in close proximity to the access point
- Bound the bridge to the nearest access point to prevent roaming
I now have a Wi-Fi RSSI of -41, and the bridge has maintained stable connectivity for several hours.
Just a quick FYI in case anyone else runs into the same issue with a similar tech stack.
