Philips Hue Effects without bridge

Hi!

I’m trying to use the Philips Hue Effects in my flows. Philips Hue Effects are light effects that simulate a candle, fireplace and more.

The thing is, I don’t have a Philips Hue Bridge which makes it more complicated. I’m using the app “Philips Hue without bridge” to connect my Hue bulbs to Homey, but this app apparently doesn’t allow me to trigger Hue effects because of this.

My question is; is there a way for me to use these Hue effects in my flows without me having a bridge?

I’m able to start the effects by using the official iOS Philips Hue app and add my bulb with Bluetooth. I thought that maybe there is a way to connect the scene with the effect in the official Hue app to a iOS shortcut that can be triggered with a flow, but I can’t find a way to do that.

I also looked into the Party Light app, but this app only creates these flashing light effects. Not the more cosy atmospheric light effect that can be created with the Philips Hue Effects.

Any idea would be welcome!

Homey is “pretty bad” at light fx. Imho, you’d really throw in a Hue bridge, and migrate the lights you want to use for the scenes to the Hue bridge. Next, with use of the Philips Hue with the Hue bridge app, add the now “Hue bridge lights" to Homey again;

This way you can start the Hue scenes present / programmed on the Hue bridge with Homey.

That’s the solution I was afraid of. I can do everything I want without the bridge, but this. I hoped there would be a solution to do this without having to need a bridge.
