Nuki lock workflow without the homey app

Hi everyone :wave:t2:
I have a Nuki smart lock and a homey pro.
I can (un)lock my door without any problem either with my iPhone via the Nuki app, or my Nuki fob or even my Nuki keypad. No problem
Now I want the connected light in my garage to switch ON when I unlock the door leading to the garage (with the Nuki lock of course ).
So I created a flow (see photo) like "when smart lock is unlocked then switch on Garage light "
It works great IF LAUNCHED FROM THE HOMEY APP. (either the workflow or the smart lock device icon) but doesn’t work WHEN UNLOCKED VIA NUKI APP (iPhone iwatch), KEYPAD OR FOB. :disappointed:

Can someone help me please ?
I need it to work with keypad or fob for my wife and daughter of 7 !
Thank you

It sounds like the Homey app doesn’t get a signal when you open the lock from your watch/keypad/fob (which, AFAIK, works using BLE, so with direct communication between the device and the lock).

You have to ask Athom (who made the Nuki app) if they can fix this: https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/requests/new

I would agree with your logic but it works when I switch off the Bluetooth on my iPhone and use either WiFi or 5G.

WiFi or 5G would in many cases not be direct connection. So, as Robert says, it sounds like it is a issue when you communicage using direct method-BLE.

Yes thank you @robertklep @Marius_Stensrod i realised that when I was posting the problem to Athom. I tried to delete my post but you @Marius_Stensrod were too fast with your comment :joy:

The Homey app uses the Nuki bridge to communicate with the lock, so either way, it doesn’t receive a signal when you open the lock without Homey being involved.

Ok :+1:t2:
So I guess there are no tricks or workarounds ?

Perhaps it’s possible to use webhooks from the Nuki app. If so, you can use the “Webhook event received” card to start a flow:

Thanks Robert.
Is there a tutorial you would recommend best to do so ? :innocent:

You first have to find out of Nuki supports webhooks at all.

I guess it does. See photo.
It proposes natively 3 tags : locked / battery alarm / door open.
I did a workflow but not functioning. See photo.

Thanks

It should be something that you configure in the native (not-Homey) Nuki app.

Hello @robertklep :wave:t2:
Following your advice I contacted the Nuki support team. Their answer is the enclosed PDF about the Nuki Web Api.
Not a developer myself I honestly don’t know what to do with the document :disappointed:
Could you please help me out ?
I stand at your full disposal should you need any help, codes, information.
Thank you  !
Greg

If the (non-Homey) Nuki app doesn’t support configuring this, it really needs to be built into the Homey Nuki app, so you have to ask Athom to provide this feature (or you can ask Nuki if they want to ask Athom to provide this feature, given that the app is marked as “official”).

You can submit a support requests here: https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/360015784034-Submitting-a-support-request
