Nuki acting up

For me the issue suddenly came back. And now I can’t connect my Nuki to Homey anymore in any way. The Nuki app is one of the worst apps on Homey I have. Nothing but connection issues. Which is rather shitty for something as important as this…

Unfortunately I have the same problem. I guess nobody has the solution?

@Daan_Dagevos @Remy
Just posting here won’t help I’m afraid. Please report to the app builder, Athom. Support contact info can be found on the app page in the app store.

Hi Peter, obviously did that too. But a reply time of 2-3 weeks is not ideal if it’s regarding the functionality of your front door lock

Thanks, Daan.

Yeah, only just because you didn’t mention it, I just assume you didn’t :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I point to support sometimes, because often (new) members think by just posting their issues here, it will get fixed magically

Yes it’s an estimated reply time, sometimes they respond even at the same working day.

Isn´t your lock Matter enabled? In that case you can connect it directly when you run a Pro 23.

I’ve a Nuki lock connected with Matter with Home assistant (NO cloud connections to my locks), it just works flawlessly!
But, because things break, and they always break at the least convenient times, I also can operate it directly by phone (Bluetooth), fob, and keypad :grimacing: (and by just a key to an other door).

Yeah, most basic features can be used through the regular Nuki app. But when everyone in the house is used to the door automatically locking when the last person leaves (Which is done through Homey), it’s hard to train them to lock the door again

The lock is Matter enabled (Nuki v4). But I can’t get it to connect correctly to Homey Pro 2023 for some reason. It keeps saying it can’t add the device. And when I connect the device through the Homey Nuki app it adds the device but then tells me the device is unavailable.

I’ve now set the Nuki back to factory settings, created a new nuki account and deleted the homey nuki app and reinstalled. I’m now waiting for Nuki support to delete the Nuki Web connection so I can connect the device to the new account and then try a completely new install… Hopefully know if this works later today.

Just very strange that the nuki suddenly just looses connection to Homey and can’t be connected again in any way…

(certain) Homey’s seem to suffer from network and Matter outages unfortunately. Not sure if Nuki or Homey is spoiling the party.

What is Athom’s view on this? This should just work out of the box.
Like I wrote about my Nuki-Matter-H.A. setup, it’s not Nuki acting up anywhere!

offtopic:
I think you put too much trust in Smart Home controllers , I would never rely on a lock locking automatically. I need to hear it locking, or check the door myself
I need to know if it’s locked, and I don’t want it to accidentally unlock as well, when the house is empty.

Waiting for a reply from Athom. Hopefully within 2-3 weeks

Regarding your offtopic: luckily I’ve created an extra flow for when the lock doesn’t lock (creates an error). So when it tries to lock but doesn’t work, I get a message.
I also get a message when it unlocks. But with the connection with homey not working, that’s currently not an issue

@Peter_Kawa lol, i just saw your message here. better late than never. and of course i contacted athom about this first. over a month ago, never got a response… Eventually fixed by disconnecting the Nuki bridge from the power for a while.
