Hey everyone, here is my first Homey app. I tested it with my own Novy Hood. Have fun testing it out :upside_down_face: .

A comprehensive Homey app for controlling Novy InTouch range hoods via 433MHz RF communication. This app implements all official functions from the Novy InTouch manual, providing complete control over your hood’s motor, lighting, and maintenance features.

  • Auto Mode On - Press button 4 for 1 second

  • Manual Mode On - Press button 4 briefly

  • Mode Switch - Switch between auto and manual modes

  • Motor Off with Afterrun - 10-minute afterrun mode with steering light

  • Direct Motor Off - Immediate shutdown without afterrun

  • Speed Control - Increase/decrease motor speed in manual mode

Installation

  1. Install the app from the Homey App Store (when published)

  2. Add a new device and select “Novy InTouch”

  3. Follow the pairing process to learn all 5 remote buttons:

    • Light button (1)

    • Speed up button (2)

    • Speed down button (3)

    • On/Off button (4)

    • Novy button (5)

The app provides 19 FlowCard actions:

  • Auto-stop timeout - Automatic shutdown after configurable time (30-300 min)

  • Run-out mode - Configurable afterrun duration (1-60 min)

Troubleshooting

Pairing Issues

  1. Ensure hood is powered on and remote has batteries

  2. Hold remote close to Homey during pairing

  3. Press buttons firmly and wait for confirmation

  4. Restart pairing if any button fails to learn

Control Issues

  1. Check RF signal strength in device settings

  2. Verify button learning was successful

  3. Ensure hood is within range of Homey

  4. Re-pair device if commands are unreliable

Status Synchronization

  1. Use current state settings to match hood status

  2. Enable debugging for detailed RF logs

  3. Check for RF interference from other devices

Great that there is a new app for the Novy Intouch. However, I cannot get it to work with my Novy Mood 7550. I had the same problem with previous apps for Novy. I have a 5 button remote with the buttons described in the app. But it does nothing when I press any button after the “learning process”.

I checked for the signal in the Homey Developer tools and the Homey does register a signal from the remote. It can also be captured with the 433Mhz signal recording tool. But under no circumstances does it replicate a signal that the Novy recognizes.

I guess you could use some more information, please let me know what you need.

Hey Ronald, I tested it again at my home and it works like a charm. Try to get a bit closer to your homey, maybe that helps? I push the buttons like a full second each, so a bit longer than press and release. It should do receive the signals just fine. What remote controle do you have? I have the white/black one. Hi - I have the same problem as Ronald - i don’t get any confirmation that i have pressed any button when pairing in the app? The remote i have is that same (at least visually) to the one linked in the post above

I have gotten a little further with this - it seems that the + and - commands are working correctly, even if i don’t get any confirmation when learning the buttons. I cannot get the ‘light’ and ‘on/off’ button to work though
 From other versions, I know that the RF signal for these two is longer than the other ones (18 bits vs 12 bits)? Perhaps this causes issues inside the app/RF handling?
