Hey everyone, here is my first Homey app. I tested it with my own Novy InTouch hood, and the app is now available as a Homey test version for others to try as well.

What is included
This app controls Novy InTouch range hoods through 433 MHz RF and implements the official Novy InTouch remote functions for motor control, lighting and maintenance.
Motor control
- Auto mode on
- Manual mode on
- Mode switch between auto and manual
- Motor off with afterrun
- Direct motor off
- Speed up and speed down
- Speed level tracking, including POWER level
Lighting
- Cooking light on and dim
- Steering light on and dim
- Warmer/cooler color temperature actions for cooking and steering light
- Optional long-press dimming behavior
- Optional light auto-off setting
Maintenance
- Reset filter cleaning indicator
- Reset monoblock replacement indicator
Flow support
The app includes Flow cards for the official Novy functions and additional helper actions:
- Send a Novy command
- Dim light for a configurable duration
- Check whether the hood is on
- Check whether the light is on
- Check whether afterrun is active
- Check or compare the current speed level
Status and Insights
The latest test version also improves the device status and Insights support:
- Removed duplicate status tiles from the Homey status tab
- Added estimated power usage
- Added Insights for hood on/off, light on/off and speed level
- Added clear speed status, for example level 1, 2, 3 or POWER
- Fixed the on/off button behavior so button 4 starts the hood at level 1 instead of jumping directly to level 2

Pairing
During pairing, Homey learns the remote buttons for:
- Light
- Speed up
- Speed down
- On/off
- Novy button

Great that there is a new app for the Novy Intouch. However, I cannot get it to work with my Novy Mood 7550. I had the same problem with previous apps for Novy. I have a 5 button remote with the buttons described in the app. But it does nothing when I press any button after the “learning process”.
I checked for the signal in the Homey Developer tools and the Homey does register a signal from the remote. It can also be captured with the 433Mhz signal recording tool. But under no circumstances does it replicate a signal that the Novy recognizes.
I guess you could use some more information, please let me know what you need.
Hey Ronald, I tested it again at my home and it works like a charm. Try to get a bit closer to your homey, maybe that helps? I push the buttons like a full second each, so a bit longer than press and release. It should do receive the signals just fine. What remote controle do you have? I have the white/black one. Hi - I have the same problem as Ronald - i don’t get any confirmation that i have pressed any button when pairing in the app? The remote i have is that same (at least visually) to the one linked in the post above…
I have gotten a little further with this - it seems that the + and - commands are working correctly, even if i don’t get any confirmation when learning the buttons. I cannot get the ‘light’ and ‘on/off’ button to work though… From other versions, I know that the RF signal for these two is longer than the other ones (18 bits vs 12 bits)? Perhaps this causes issues inside the app/RF handling?
Hi, I have the same problem with the remote. It has the 5 buttons, but it seems they are not learned by Homey. Also tried this when holding the remote within 20 centimetres and pressing the buttons for 5 seconds. Would be great to get this to work. Any thoughts on this?

Hi, I am trying to get it to work, but with mixed results. Sometimes it seems to work; but later it stops working. Sometimes only the light command does not work, but also the speed commands can give problems. Could it be related to the 433MHz signal of Homey? From other devices I know there are issues. Are there any updates, workarounds, advices? Thanks!
