I have a Nimly Touch pro, that works brillantly with my Homey Pro, but only when the distance between the door lock and Homey is very short (2 meters). When my Homey is in it´s usual spot approx 10 meters away from the lock (two wooden floors above), there´s no contact. I have several Hue lights in between, that I presumed would relay the zigbee signal, but apparently they are not. Could this be becasue they are linked to Homey via the Hue hub, and not directly connected to Homey? If so, would a zigbee range extender solve the problem?
Yes, and yes.
The Hue bridge creates its own, completely separate, Zigbee network.
I have the same lock and I had problems with losing connection. I contacted their customer service and they sendt me a new Zigbee module right away. Solved my problems.
10 meter might be far though, especially with obstacles. So you could try connecting a few of your hue lights directly to Homey so they’ll work as repeaters. That might just solve your problem.
Thanks! Moving a few Hue lights from the Hue bridge to Homey made all the difference. Works really well now
Hi. This fixed my problem as well. I have a homey bridge 5 meters from the Nimly code, but lost connection. Moved a zigbee socket to an electrical output 1meter from the Nimly code and they reconnected right away. The Nimly seems to have a weaker signal than other battery devices.
