I migrated my Hue Bridge to the new Hue Bridge some days ago. Went well - inside the Hue app everything is working. But with Homey, alls bulbs and devices are shown as „not available“. When I click on „repair“ inside the Home app, it asks to push the button on the new bridge - but even if I push that, the „push“ is not recognized as authentication. Any idea what to do?
Have you restarted the Homey Hue app?
Of course, several times
I think if you shared a bit more info, more users would be able to help you:
- Version Homey (Pro, Mini, Cloud…)
- Firmware version
- Version Hue App (Homey)
Have you ever reinstalled the Homey Hue app?
Have you ever de-energized the Homey?
My guess is that the new Hue Bridge (Pro) is causing the problems:
I bought my Homey Pro a few weeks ago and added the older Hue Bridge at the time, and everything worked smoothly. Then I decided to switch to the new Hue Bridge Pro. Everything within the Hue universe was fine. I was able to automatically migrate all the lights from the old Hue Bridge to the new one.
However, Homey kept losing its connection to the new bridge, as you described. Alexa was also unable to connect to the new Hue Bridge Pro. I therefore switched back to the older Hue Bridge. As there is no automatic migration process in reverse, I had to manually add all 30+ lights to the old bridge, but it was worth it. Everything worked again within Homey and Alexa.
