I have enabled the experiment that exposes all my devices to Apple HomeKit. However, when I add new devices to Homey, it doesn’t show up in HomeKit, and I find no way to reload. Any ideas how to solve this?
Reboot Homey.
Also make sure that the new devices are actually supported by the HomeKit experiment (I can’t point to a list of supported device types because I don’t think there is one).
Yes I’ve tried both these things. They are the same type of devices that I have already added before. The only thing that works is turning off the Homekit connection and on again, then removing and re-adding Homey as a bridge. But then I have to go through the whole setup process again for over 90 devices in HomeKit app, and I was trying to avoid that.
Shouldn’t it work just like Google Home? When I add new devices in Homey, they automatically show up in Google Home. If not, I just go and click “check new devices” and it works.
It should, but the HomeKit experiment only exists so Athom can say that Homey supports it. It’s not something that gets a lot of attention.
You can try using my HomeKitty app instead.
Thank you for creating this. I installed it and it works perfect! It’s exactly what I needed
