Multiple Switchbot devices not showing on homey

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to integrate my SwitchBot setup with Homey Cloud, but I’m having issues with device discovery.

I have 9 SwitchBot Switches in total. All of them are connected to a SwitchBot Hub 2. However, when I try to add them in Homey, it only discovers 2 of the 9 switches.

My Setup:
Homey Version: Homey Cloud
Hub: SwitchBot Hub 2

What I’ve checked:
All 9 switches work perfectly inside the native SwitchBot app.
All 9 are definitely linked to the Hub 2, and I can use them via Google home.

Is this a known issue with homey cloud, would getting a pro mini resolve this? I have tried hue hub and that works as expected.

Id appreciate any help.

Apps for Homey Pro and Homey Cloud should be the same. Are all switches the same model?

Yes, I bought all of them recently, span of the last few weeks.

Have you tried to uninstall the SwitchBot app from your Homey Cloud and installing it again?

Note that uninstalling the app means you have to add your devices to Homey again

Yes, I had. I just retired, and the same two devices got detected again.

It’s best to discuss with the app developer, by using the dedicated Switchbot app topic.
It’s mentioned on the app page at the homey.app store.

Is it the paid version of Homey Cloud? The free version is limited. I don’t see it in the first post, @Kian_O

I’m using the paid version of the cloud (2.99 a month)

Unfortunately, Homey cloud doesn’t have the app settings page, so I have no diagnostics to help.

Can you confirm if you can control all the switches using the SwitchBot mobile app while out of the house?

The SwitchBot app will first try to use Bluetooth to connect directly to the device and only use the cloud if that fails.

I just created an issue on git also.
And I can confirm that I can control the devices while away from home via both Google home and switchbots official app.

Can you see any of the other SwitchBot devices in Homey?

Yes, I can see two of the switches and a curtain

I was able to add the hub and the humidity sensor too, switches are the only things not getting detected.

When you say switches, do you mean the finger bots?

Yes, those!

In the SwitchBot mobile app, can you go to Profile, Manage Hubs and select your hub. Can you see all the bots in the list of devices?

Yes, Im able to see all of them.

Sorry for the delay, but I’m still trying to figure out how to get the information to see what is going wrong. Homey cloud limits the options to obtain information.

Would a diagnostic report help you?

You could try, but often they don’t show anything useful, that’s why I added my own logging to the app, but you don’t have access to that on Homey cloud.
