Time to set up the iOS Homey app on my wife’s phone.

  1. Should she create her own homey account?
  2. How should I set up people like a pet sitter or a maid service?

She needs to create her own Homey account and you can invite her via More->Family and guests. To enable presence detection, she needs to enable it via More->Account “Use Home/Away detection”.

You can set them up as a guest account. When you create the invite, select “Guest”. This means that they won’t be able to edit anything. You can also disable guest account from a Flow (f.e. if you only want them to be able to access Homey during specific time periods).
