A cat is accepted. But please explain with more detail how to set their profile.

Log out in your Homey app and login as Cat1. Click on the ‘More’ tab and click on top on Cat1.

I was able to add the 2 cats but man it frustrated me big time. Tried to do with just my phone. No succes what so ever.
Almost gave up. Did the same procedure on my laptop. YES.
Now I have to find the damn cats to make a picture for their icon.

One question left. I do not want the cats to participate the household in terms of everybody Away or someone at Home. This needs to be exclusive for people.

I know you are the plant guy, but maybe another colleague with pets can help.
I made two email addresses for my two cats and I also made a Homey account for both of them.
Now, besides the 4 people, they can be seen in my household.
I do not want the cats to participate the household in terms of everybody Away or someone at Home. This needs to be exclusive for people.
If this can not be done now see it as a future request.

I totally get it—I have four furry friends at home myself! You might have even spotted one of them on our social media channels for World Animal Day. 
I’m curious, though—what specific functionality are you envisioning by adding pets to the Homey App? I’d love to hear more!
I have a sureflap pet door. The cats are chipped. The sureflap will notice a cat left my home.
First of all it is possible to add them. Second the are (almost) just as important to our family. Third, I is nice to see them in the same widget. Fourth, it is easy to set them manually ‘Home’ if they walked in the house through an open door (so not via the cat door).
If my cats are home and the last person left the house the heating will not turn off. Just an example.

i use smart present as app to see who is home ( at least, we are almost fully attached to our phone)
with this app you can use the IP to see who is present ( static IP for the device and configure that IP on Smart present )
I am sure the cats don’t have a phone 
so configure all people and you can setup present on Phone
no need for other people to have the homey app on their phone anymore.
they just need to access your local WIFI for presence aware.
even task like 1 bedroom airco off when 1 kids leave the house. even if you are home
