Migrated from Home 2016 to 2023, now no Hue bulbs can be restored

I performed a migration according to Migrating from Homey Pro (2016 — 2019) to Homey Pro (Early 2023) – Homey Support. After migration (and the old Homey was powered off), none of my z-wave or Hue devices worked, which was quite annoying.

The z-wave could be restored the old, time-consuming, way of deleting and adding them back to Homey. However, my Hue bulbs seems to be impossible to restore. I don’t have a Hue Bridge, and the bulds don’t have a QR code either, so I can’t use the Hue app either. Neither the Hue app nor the Homey app can detect the bulbs when trying to add them back again.

I event tried the Power cycle method, Reset Hue bulb without bridge, but it seems like an April fools method. Probably the bulbs are too old for any of them.

Any clues on how to fix them. To be honest, I’m a bit disappointed with the migration process. Having to re-add 20 devices wasn’t what I was expecting.

I did have the exact same problem. I was running the old Homey, made a backup. shut it down and booted up the new 2023 version.

afterwards all devices appeared… had to manually download all apps but zwave didn’t get anything.

I then used the usb tool to factory default the new unit. it then upgraded to latest version (same as the old unit) and then have it reseted with same version as the backup.

this time when I selected a backup while setting it up, all apps downloaded and the zwave network popped up and everything worked as expected!
I suppose the problem was that the new unit was an older firmware and there was some missmatch between versions.
