Matter devices are unavailable

You should be able to add the Govee LAN devices without Matter. Does the cloud API work? You might be able to use that

Yes i did but not the matter ones.
The point is i managed to add some devices and now its broken!
Something in matter pairing has changed and I cant get a single matter device to add. Plug /light / rad valve all successfully get the “added to homey message”
Then it moves to “searching for device” and just hangs

Reading another post i disabled my firewall.
This allowed the device to get past the “searching”
And gave me this error

I have 1 bridge, 13 Zigbee Router devices, ive not even added any end devices yet.
Im guessing the bridge is full

So this is about ZigBee? Maybe your Homey’s RAM is full, try rebooting it.

No its about thread but they use the same chipset

16gb ram and 100gb storage on shs

About 2 and 3 used on each side

The Homey Bridge doesn’t support Thread though.

No i know. But its the only plausible memory limit. Ive got plenty in the shs
I did have another bridge connected when i first paired the matter devices but took it away as i had a large zigbee mesh and thought it was redundant and a waste of cash

The Homey Bridge is required for ZigBee on SHS. It doesn’t support Matter or Thread.

No i know and i dont dispute that. But its very coincidental that i had 2 bridges and it worked, took one away and now cant add any!

What else does this message mean?

If you have at least 1 bridge left, it should work fine. Have you tried rebooting both the Homey Bridge and SHS?

Multiple times :frowning:

In my SHS logs it says timeout (0x0033) matter code timeout

What is the issue exactly? Is it about Matter-over-WiFi or Matter-over-Thread or ZigBee?

Matter over thread

I know the bridge does not support thread i know but its just too much of a coincidence that im a bridge down and now cant add any more matter devices

Also. Its interesting that firewall was stopping things happening

Because it’s using your network

Matter needs Thread (or any other IPv6 networking technology like Wi-Fi or Ethernet) to send messages to a device.

The reason its interesting is because the same wifi/firewall and security in my router have been active since day dot. My hp23 had no issues and then my shs didnt for the first few devices.
Now clearly something in my router firmware, the firewall on the mini pc or something has changed and its stopping matter devices pairing.

At 11 pm last night i was happy as i had managed to add the Nuki lock and 2 tado thermostats. I could control them and added them inti a flow
This morning the lock was unresponsive and the thermostats have self deleted.

You can also link Nuki and Tado to Homey using their official apps. This doesn’t require Matter (in Tado, just add the thermostat as a “Smart Thermostat” instead of “Smart Thermostat X”)
