[Matter] Aqara T1 relay over Aqara M3 hub - Category Problem

Hello,

I am integrating the Aqara T1 relay into Homey via Matter using the Aqara M3 hub. Even though there is no light connected to this relay, it still appears under the “Lights” section on the Homey dashboard. In the “Average Temperature” section of Homey, we are able to disable the values we don’t want to see. Wouldn’t it be possible to do something similar in the “Lights” section, to exclude unwanted devices from the category?

All relays should be virtual devices,
These have a setting

Plugged in:

Dont have a English Aqara relay here. Only a dutch older Aqara relay. But should be the same as for this kaku.

If that’s not available for the matter implementations pls contact Athom for a feature request.

But maybe you can connect the device directly to Homey as I expect the Aqara App handles it correctly.

Unfortunately, the option you mentioned doesn’t appear in Matter. I’ll report this to Athom.

What’s under ‘Advanced Settings’ ?

I have the Aqara T1 relay and can conform that it shoves the same as your pictures.

I connected it directly to Homey and it works fine.

Thanks,

Conclusion: Using the “Aqara T1 relay” in a direct Zigbee connection to Homey with the Aqara App ([APP] Aqara & Xiaomi Smart Home - Simplify your life with a smarter home) gives a richer experience than using a Matter connection over the “Aqara M3 hub” to Homey.

Maybe you can change the options how the Relay is reported to Matter (as a Light, Cooker, Heater, Fan, etc…) in the M3 configuration?
