When I had used Schlage locks on smartthings it was possible to configure the codes for unlocking the deadbolts. This capability seems to be missing on Homey Pro and I would love to see it possible. I see in advanced settings that you can enable and disable guest codes but that would imply that you have to manually add the codes which is not convenient especially if you need to manage it remotely. Is there something I am missing to make this possible?
I wish Homey had this feature. I still have to keep my Z-Wave lock on SmartThings because of this.
Same here. Still hoping for a Homey App that allow me to manage lock codes on the schlage connect lock.
Yes I also have to keep my Yale locks on SmartThings because there is no lock code manager. I have 6 locks throughout the house. It is too inconvenient to go to each lock to program a unique temporary code for a guest or contractor.
While I agree having a ālock code managerā like on Hubitat Elevation would be nice, remember these types of apps arenāt really managing the lock codes in real time, itās not like the code gets sent from the lock to the hub and only performs a lock after the code is verified. The codes are stored and verified on the lock itself. Regarding how these types of lock code managers work ; they are simply a pretty way of sending a z wave command to add / delete / edit the codes on the lock itself. For this reason if your hub was offline or you lose a connection to the hub the codes work. As a workaround, the lack of this type of function in Homey, Iāve created an advanced flow which I can go to anytime I want to edit user codes. I just draw a line from the start button to whatever function I want and hit the test from here function. Sure maybe itās a little clunky and not as polished, but it works.
Hi, What is the name of your app? I am at my vacation rental and need to set this up as soon as possible for VRBO guests. I also used Vera in the past and this was such a simple process with that system. Thank you
I am using the Yale Assure lock.
this isnāt an app; this is an āAdvanced Flowā within Homey web app: https://my.homey.app
Thank you, I am a novice at this but Iāll try to figure out how to do this.
no worries, so am Iā¦ this whole absence of a lock code manager had me scratching my head for a little while
