Lutron Caseta always starts at 100% brightness

New to Homey. I’ve connected my Lutron Caseta hub with the Lutron app; turning on lights via Homey (i.e. just clicking on the device icon) sets the dim level to 100% instead of the last brightness. Similarly, flows that set the dim level as the first step will first start at 100% before changing to declared level.

I’ve searched but only found older posts discussing this, and not all are related to Homey. Is there a solution, or is it a limitation of Homey and the local connection to Lutron? This is not a problem with Alexa to Lutron (which is cloud-to-cloud via the Alexa skill), or with SmartThings (which may also be cloud-to-cloud).

You can use the Flowcard “Set dim level to …”. This usually also turns the device on, which means that it starts at the specified dim level

I actually am doing that, but it still flashes quickly to 100% before changing the level. Do you have a Lutron setup that isn’t behaving that way?

Assuming you are using this app. The forum topic has no replies at the moment. But then again the developer is asking to reach out to them via e-mail. So maybe that’s the best step forward. You could leave a reply in the app topic about the issue and that you’ve contacted the developer (to inform other users).
