Wow. Cool!
Connecting panel worked straight forward. Turning on/off and dim works fine. Setting the color results in error:
Error setting device value for key 23:
Error: Timeout waiting for status response from device id: xxxx

Hi, it looks like your device uses a different set of keys. If you create a ticket and include your device type, I can take a look and try to add support for it.
First of all, thank you for your work on the Ledvance Smart+ Wifi for Homey ā really great initiative!
I do have a question:
I own some Ledvance Smart+ WiFi plugs, but unfortunately they donāt show up in Homey using the app.
Is support for plugs something that is already planned, or could it be considered for a future update/roadmap?
I believe many users would highly appreciate this feature ![]()
If you need testers or device information/data to help implement plug support, I would be happy to assist.
Due to the lack of available devices, Iām not currently planning to add support for this type of device. However, if youād like, you can try investigating and mapping the required keys for the device using this method:
https://github.com/heszegi/com.heszi.ledvance-wifi/wiki/How-to-Request-Support-for-a-New-Device-or-Missing-Capabilities
Unfortunately, I canāt promise that Iāll be able to work on this in the near future. However, if the required data is collected, the chances of adding support will be much higher.
Sorry, Iām a newbie and still trying to feel my way around Homey.
Iām trying to connect four LEDvance R50 wifi bulbs into Homey. Assuming this would work using your app, where do I get the MAC address, Virtual ID, and Local Key you mention? They are not showing in the Smart+ app on my phone.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Stephen
You should first add them to Tuya or Smart Life mobile app, and then use this Homey app:
Thank you for replying.
I have the four bulbs added to the Smart+ app, itās the info I need to provide to the Homey app that I am searching for.
Hi Stephen,
Did you follow this post?
Yes.
I can get the MAC address and IP from my router in theory, but I canāt see where Virtual ID and Local Key are exposed; they are not in the Smart+ app or Google Home.
Thank you.
I must have gone through the information for each bulb a dozen times and missed it each time. ![]()

Works with my R50 wifi bulbs. ![]()
For those who struggle to find things, Device Information is just under the name you gave the bulb.
You will need the IP address from your router, not the one in Smart+ app.
I added the R50 as a bulb in Homey
Do the device add to Homey on your phone so you can copy/paste the info rather than having to type it.
OK, spoke too soon.
Worked for a day and now getting āError connecting to device [name]. Check the device is powered onā. On checking the info, for each bulb I noticed that the IP addresses on my network for the two had changed, corrected these but still getting the same message.
Tried adding a third bulb from scratch and getting the same error.
Bulbs definitely have power as I can control them with the LEDvance app and Google Home.
Any Ideas
Thanks
Stephen
First of all always reserve IP addresses for all smart home (W)LAN devices (connected to Homey).
As you found out Homey sucks at tracking devices with unreserved DHCP assigned IP addresses ( = subject to change after the refresh interval)
