My lights all work including dimmers but I can’t get my window shades , or garage door opener to work. They’re all integrated in KNX. All help appreciated.
Also does anyone have clear instructions for smart life / Tuya integration? Thx.
I have a KNX system in my house for lights and shutters. Previous owner installed it and had it configured by an exterrnal specialist. Marginally documented (of course). It works fine and reliable, but difficult/impossible to reconfigure.
The way I did it was to install a bridge Weinzierl 731 KNX IP Interface to connect to the router, and thus to Homey. Then install the KNX app for Homey. Give the KNX IP interface a fixed IP address and MAC address.
Now the problem is that the KNX app needs to send specific commands to specific addresses in the KNX system. For this I used ETS5 software in diagnostic mode while using the KNX remote switches, so listening to the actual KNX commands so that this info can be input to the Homey KNX app configuration per device/control. Switch address command looks like 14/0/71 and the status address looks like 10/4/2.
Easy? No. Pain in the ass? Yes. There are different interface options eg. from Giro but more expensive and I am not sure if it makes life easier. If you have good documentation on you KNX system configuration you do not need ETS5 diagnostic mode and setup is much much easier.
Anyway it works fine and reliable now for many years after some initial problems. Stay patient.

Also do you have garage door or a car parking gate? If so if you could share an example setup there too please.

My shutters are very standard ones only working remotely via KNX operated relay switches, so they do not have any Internet or Wifi or Bluetooth connectivity. So my KNX system is controlling the relay switches.
My garage door opener is remote but not via KNX or Homey. No need for that, not sure if possible.
Device settings in my KNX system are useless for you.
I do not know your setup and why you want KNX, or if it is already installed like in my house. If you have it you should have the config settings as I described, see examples in my previous mail for the format applicable for the KNX Homey app.
