I am in the test phase of my development for a new app to connect my Odido Klik & Klaar 5G modem/router (which is a Zyxel NR5307 device).
As I can retrieve a ton of information from this device, are there any request or key items I should definitely include in the first version of this app?
What functionality would be useful (like “block / unblock device” on your local network)?

No requests but can’t wait to test it

Hi Paul and other users of a Odido Klik&Klaar router (Zyxel NR5307), please test this app and provide me your feedback and suggestions.
Looking forward to get your experience
In the app ‘settings page’ you can find a list of all (active) local network devices, which could be interesting to use and use. The flows needs thorough testing but will provide added value.
Getting a error when I go to configurate, I do have the modem, Homey is also connected to it.
Hi Dexter, it looks like you have not first added your router correctly.
Did you connect and see all capabilities?
This is required before asking for network devices.
I will improve error messaging, thanks!
I tried to add the device, I am 100% sure the ip adres, username and password are correct, but it keeps giving me the error from the image.

Hi Dexter, thank you for testing.
Indeed the IP Address is ok, otherwise you would get a ‘Timeout’:

can you check logging in your router from a webbrowser?
(to confirm name / password is accepted in this way)
Can you also provide the software version of the router?
Hi Paul, have you been able to test?
It’s not showing anything on the log when I try to add the device, only when I login on the webpage myself.

Using s wrong ip adress gives me the same error, not a timeout.

ok, clear, let me review / revise login and messaging..
@Dexter145 I did upload a new test version, let me know the error message if login fails.
Same error, but I think I found the problem, I think the modem is blocking the acces, the screenshot is showing an attack from my homey’s ip adress.
192.168.1.28 is my homey’s ip adress. The attack was at the time I tried to log in on the add device page.

Good catch
Yes, that sounds very likely.
I have the same firmware version and below settings, which you could try (with your own domain settings);
and firewall settings:
I disabled the firewall, still got the same error on homey, but no error of attack on the modem. Gives me the connection failed within a second, even if I try random ip adresses.
Can you try this url ( use the IP address of your Zyxel router) and tell me what the return is?
(you should get a small json reply) It is the first step in connecting.
”https://192.168.1.1/getBasicInformation”
{"result":"ZCFG_SUCCESS","ModelName":"NR5307","SoftwareVersion":"V1.00(ACJG.1)NR53_b17D0430","CurrentLanguage":"en","AvailableLanguages":"en,nl","RememberPassword":0,"RemoAddr_Type":"LAN"}
Great, ip is correct and router is responding
I have uploaded a new test version please try: Zyxel Router | Homey
You can also try (if it doesn’t solve the issue) to add your domain (where your Homey is) to ‘trusted domain). Hope it works.
when i add it to the trusted domain, I don’t get a attack notification in the security log, but stil got the same connection failed error
