There is no known hard limit (for devices) published that I know, it depends… on to many factors.

the 1.5 x on the source you mention is specified as the “Wireless Range”, but probably measured in Lab environment or open air, and relative to the range of the old Homey Pro for what it is worth.

I have 200+ devices connected via zigbee on homey 2023 and 0 problems, this was the same on homey 2016. If you set it up as advised eg routers first and in their place working away from homey there shouldn’t be any problems.
