Quick facts:
- Homey Pro - late 2019
- 25 Zigbee devices connected - all routers, no battery powered /end devices
- PTP + recovery mode and installed full software: Yes
25 devices have been running automated lights and heating fairly stabile the past two years. I needed to extend the range of my zigbee network due to a newly built garage, and this is where the challenge starts.
I bought a Aeotec Range Extender Zig and was not able to add this to Homey. I got to the first step in the process and Homey doesn’t seem to register that the device is in pair mode. (Yes, I have had Homey physically close to the device too.)
I did have 3 end devices in the network which I thought might mess things up, so I deleted those. No change in the pairing process after deleting the battery powered devices.
I decided to delete a functioning dimmer device just to check if there was an issue with the range extender. Same thing happening here, I’m not able to get passes the first step of adding the dimmer.
As stated in the start of the topic; I have restarted the homey several times, started it in recovery mode and did a full reinstall of the software (this have solved zigbee issues earlier).
What is my next move here? I kind of want to reset the zigbee network, but Im afraid I won’t be able to add devices and get things up and running again.
Thanks!
