Is homey the right choice for me?

So a bit of background information here. I have been doing domotics for over 25 years… i started out with hardwiring everything in the past… then made the switch to 433mhz technology and these days many of my devices are zigbee. Also got a bunch of other toys like lametric displays, bose soundtouch, nest smoke alarms and doorbell etc. I have been using linux scripts for the last 25 years and in general this has been going well for me. However creating if then else flows is more complicated in linux then using a web interface but it does leave me all the flexibility i needed.
However I always keep my eyes open for other options and so now I was looking at the new homey pro.
Got some questions that are probably simple for you experienced homey users out there but quite relevant for me;
I have 3 hue hubs with in total about 100 lamps and switches. Does the homey talk to the bridge or directly to the devices (and replace the bridge?). If it talks to the bridge… does it creeate a lag between pushing the button and homey running a flow? Also… can it talk to 3 bridges at the same time?
Can I do stuff like making a http call to a specific address if I push a button that is connected to homey? And vice versa… can a http call to a homey webhook trigger a flow?
Probably simple questions… just curious to hear if there are people like me who created their own system and eventually decided to switch.

Both are possible

Yes, the lag is between 1-3 sec. Therefore i let Hue turn on some bulbs that may not have a lag.

Also… can it talk to 3 bridges at the same time?

No problem

Yes and Yes

If you want to program yourself. This is possible with Homeyscript(Javascript).

So, homey has a lot to offer. It isn’t perfect. But at this moment no eco system is perfect. With your experience you can create endless possibilities. Many things work out if the box, but other things require sometimes another approach. Example; since shortly Nest Hello doesn’t trigger Homey since a few days when the doorbell rings. Slotion is worked on, workaround with Google Home and A virtual device in Homey makes it work again.

Additional info: But, it is limited when directly paired as zigbee devices. 100 is not possible.
A user once reported 61 devices as workable max., but in common, it ‘could’ get unreliable/sloppy with more than 40 zigbee devices (in total). It depends on many things, Including wifi/zigbee channels settings.
And, Hue bridge and Homey are both zigbee controllers which build their own mesh network.

The new Homey Pro isn’t deliverd to users without an NDA yet, so we don’t know the limitations of the zigbee chip (which is a newer version) yet. These numbers are for the old Homey Pro.
