Great device, great idea but not for 249/ 299 Euro.
I really love Homey - but 249€ (later 299€) is to much for that. Actually i’m using a cheap old android tablet with a greater screen and dashboard. For 50€ i would have bought me 5 of this gadget, but not for this price.

It has a Rockchip inside, so it probably runs Android (many embedded Android devices such as TV boxes use Rockchip)
Hear me out: what if Homey app developers could include custom shortcuts/applications with their apps? 
So basically circular widgets, this could expand the capabilities of the Homey Portal greatly. Especially if they could also be controlled with the ring, like the built-in shortcuts. I’d have a few ideas of what I would make…

This price is absolutely crazy in Canada—wow.
I would much rather see Homey invest in improving its dashboards and apps with more native widgets, so users don’t have to rely on so many third-party apps. I’d also love to see more product support and availability in North America.
Homey has so much potential to become the central platform for an entire smart home instead of users having to manage several different ecosystems. With more focus on native features, dashboards, integrations, and the North American market, I think Homey could become far more popular here.
Not just quick actions, but full custom interfaces like the lights or thermostat screens.
I like the display, but the price is to high. If it was 150 for example it was an instant buy.
Why use a full-blown Linux when you could do the same with an ESP32 for a reasonable Price?

for a long Time I dreamed of a smart remote with a screen and a rotating knob, with the form factor of an iPod nano. This circular display/touchscreen is way better and really modern. I have ordered 2
An ESP32 didn’t cut it here unfortunately. It’s using a Rockchip RK3566 with 1GB of RAM.
Looks really nice and useful but the price is wayyyy off lol.
For that price I’d rather get an iPad or android tablet that is a lot more versatile.
You can rig something half similar with a google nest hub for 1/3 of the price. Sure won’t have all but can run dashboard
You can get an RK3566 ( which is 6 years old by the way) + 1GB RAM for about 20 Bucks. How did these outrageous prices come about?
