Not with a 2019 Homey
Might be possible by using a Tuya Matter/Thread gateway and linking the devices via this app:
Okay, hopefully someone who already has these Ikea sensors is willing to give this a try before I go out and buy them, haha.
Unfortunately, I have to say that the sensor has disappointed me so far. It seems to suffer from rapid battery drain again. It stopped working after only three weeks. I also think it might be related to ongoing updates of the Homey OS. I will try another set of batteries to rule out faulty ones.
These sensors are currently pretty much un-usable…
Horrible battery drain and going offline just after few days.
I normally like IKEA’s smart home products (good bang for the buck ratio) but these not so much…
I have 1 Myggbett and 5 Myggspray but no problems at all. (5 weeks)
Battery 100% and a stable connection. All sensors are linked to their location via Android because the distance to Homey is too far. Also use 4 kajplats lamps.
If Homey is without power for a few minutes, it will rebuild the Matter network after starting up. You might need to wake up the battery sensors once all the lights are connected again. It might be worth giving it a try.
I have 15 Myggbett devices and they almost never go offline. Occasionally a single one might go offline briefly after, for example, a power outage, but it soon reconnects on its own through the self-healing mesh system.
The battery life is impressive. I use Ikea Ladda AAA batteries. After 3–4 months, most of them still have about 80 percent battery remaining.
Works fine here. No battery drain, but I’ll find out that if there is not enough matter bridge then they will lose connection and drain battery fast. Make shire you have enough bridge.. then it will work fine.
