I just manage to add this door/window sensor to Homey, but the contact alarm is constantly ON. It’s not triggering, it’s just permanently ON all the time.
I had the same issues with TRÅDFRI motion sensor. The sensor triggered ON and was just ON permanently.
Looking through the forums it feels I’m the only one with these issues or the only one using the IKEA stuff?
I haven’t got one myself but it sounds like a similar issue to the zigbee door/window sensor and the Vallhorn zigbee motion sensor that homey users had issues with. Most users were using alkaline/1.5 volt battery. Not sure whether you are also but if you are try using the rechargable 1.2 volt battery. If it’s the same issue as their previous sensors then I suspect having higher volts is causing the issue of it being stuck and not timing out the detection.
I’ve ordered a few of these so I can do a quick test once they arrive. Otherwise you might need to check whether there is a newer firmware update that has addressed any issues
which batteries are you using? 1.5v or the rechargeable 1.2v? i know with the previous model which is the parasoll it was providing false notifications. does it make a difference if its close to the homey hub? i havent looked in to matter that much but i suspect it either uses repeaters, wifi, matter, thread, etc or a mixture to have a connection to the homey pro hub. i only have a few matter smart plugs. i dont see how exactly the connection works and whether there are repeaters involved.
i havent had the chance to set mine up. i got my order a few weeks back. i just havent figured out where i could place it just to test it out. im hoping the mount for the parasoll is the same as the myggbett as could potentially do an easy swap on the fridge.
i should have ordered abit more because its been out of stock since i last posted here.
An update to this. After I used my iphone to connect them instead of using the Homey directly it worked on the 3-5 try. Then it disconnects from time to time, but at least it reconnects automatically. I think I need to buy like matter powered/outlets to extend the range-
But still. Matter of Thread is SLOOOOOOW to connect. I know it’s supposed to be superior to zigbee, but I currently hate matter
I havent tested mine yet. I’m hoping I can use the existing parasol mount to swap it out. From what researched so far it appears it might be the same. I was worried that there wouldn’t be enough powered devices to work as repeaters. I’m not even sure whether my Meross or Tapo matter plugs are repeaters. I would have hoped that ikea released their matter smart plugs at the same time but they didn’t in Australia.
Same for me.. Tried to restart Homey, resetted the Myggbett 4 times and tried to connect.. Times-out during Threads connection. Anyone have any more tips?
